Q1: Can you explain the Easy Switch for mobile switching service?

It's a fast, easy device switching service that promises to deliver a like-for-like or like-for-similar model in as little as six hours. Simply decide which option you want to select (see 'options' tab). Once you've decided, you simply pay a service fee. This includes free delivery to any residential or office address in Hong Kong.
At bolttech, we offer the freedom to switch to an entirely different brand or style as long as it's within the same generation and price range. You can see all the options available to you when you apply to make the switch.

Q2: Under what scenario can I request for a switch?

You can request to switch your device for any reason. There are no exclusions.

Q3: How many times can I switch in one year?

This depends on the exact plan you bought. Check your details in MyAccount to find out.

Q4: How do I know if I can make a switch?

Simply check that the device you want to switch is registered with us. Check your details in MyAccount to find out.

Q5: What exactly do I have to do on the day of the switch?

First, please turn off 'Find my iPhone' or any similar feature. This is because we need to ensure that when we receive your old device, it's unlocked. This will then enable us to do a full data wipe, permanently removing all your personal information and data (for example photos, apps, messages).
When our delivery driver arrives, they'll check your old device, and will verify your personal ID. Then the switch will happen. We'll take your old device and then hand over your replacement device.

Q6: Can you tell me about the service request fee?

We charge a service fee for each request you make to bolttech. This amount depends on the exact plan you bought and the SRP (suggested retail price) of your current, registered device.

Please note that all payments must be made by credit card.

Q7: Is there anything else I should know?

We think we've covered it all but here's some of the 'small' print:
If you don't turn off features such as "Find my iPhone", you may be subject to an additional charge which can be up to the original value of your device. We give you friendly reminders when you apply to switch.
We reserve the right to hold your credit card details in order that we can confirm we have the correct device. Once we confirm we've received the correct device then the service fee will be charged.

The below information describes our target delivery times. We always do our best to meet (or even exceed) these targets.
